Through My Eyes

  • Station Creative Workspace 54-58 Johnston Street Wagga Wagga, NSW, 2650 Australia (map)

Through My Eyes is a collaborative exhibition that celebrates the beauty, diversity, and power of Country through the lens of lived experience, kinship, and cultural connection.

At the heart of the exhibition is the work of Claudia Haines, a First Nations artist whose practice explores Country as healer, teacher, and unifying force — a place of deep listening and belonging for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. Drawing from connections to Gamilaroi, Wiradjuri, Ngunawal, and Yuin Country, the artist reflects on the unique features, textures, and species that shape these landscapes and stories.

Presented in collaboration with other local artists, Through My Eyes includes a vibrant mix of contemporary Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal artworks. Each piece offers a personal interpretation of place and identity, weaving together diverse perspectives to honour the spirit of NAIDOC Week.
