Given the same starting point, one thousand potters will invariably produce one thousand unique and individual pieces. The only limit to what can be created through fire and clay is imagination itself. Centuries of exploration, of materials, methods, and techniques, have allowed potters to transform vision into reality, turning fleeting ideas into objects of permanence.

The Wagga Wagga Potters Club group exhibition, Concepts in Clay, showcases this diversity of practice, bringing together a rich array of clays, glazes, and firing methods, each piece tracing its origin back to a single spark of imagination.

That same spirit of imagination extends beyond the studio and into the community, as seen in the Club's ongoing work with the Blamey Community Group. The Blamey Community Group reached out to the club for information on running pottery workshops after a kiln had been found tucked away at the centre. After some discussion, Potters Club members offered to assist in making this possible. These members have been going to Kapooka once a week to run classes ever since. The nature of the work of military members makes this a unique task. A small display of works produced during these lessons will be included in the exhibition.
